Data & Methodology
Public comparisons read our maintained database. They do not scrape rate websites when you calculate. The initial factual dataset was imported on 2 October 2026 from published financial-rate references. Descriptive articles have not been copied.
Each rate record stores a lender, product, depositor category, annual rate or range, tenure, source URL, source date, maintained date, optional effective date and qualifying notes. The source date reflects the reference’s stated update date; it is not necessarily the lender’s effective date.
FD data uses exact published 12, 36 and 60-month rates. We do not extrapolate a highest rate to arbitrary tenures. Senior rates are added only when the source gives an unambiguous increment. Variable senior increments need further verification before import.
Loan comparisons use the lower advertised annual rate with monthly reducing-balance EMI: P × r / (1 − (1 + r)^−n), where r is the annual percentage divided by 1,200 and n is months. At zero interest, EMI is P/n. Calculations retain full precision and round only for display.
FD maturity is P × (1 + annual percentage/400)^(months/3). Fractional quarters are an estimation convention; actual lender short-period rules may differ.
Starting loan rates are not guaranteed for every tenure. Personal loan maximum tenures follow the supplied table. Home and car loan tenure controls represent planning scenarios where the source does not provide a lender-specific limit. Fees are excluded.
Administrators maintain records manually. Rates are not automatically refreshed daily. Check the date and confirm the current rate directly with the lender before relying on a result. Where the source has a conflicting example or a channel-specific condition, the record notes disclose it.
Successful IFSC responses are cached for up to 30 days. An IFSC result is a directory lookup, not an account validation or confirmation that a transfer will succeed.
